#002: Abundance vs. Scarcity Mindset While Getting a Pedicure

Whatever you do, just get out there and start moving on top of growing your mindset, which will, in turn, grow your net worth, grow your mind, grow everything around you, attract the people that are up here with you and make you keep going up and up and up.

Let’s get this straight to the point… what you believe plays a significant role in what your goal is and whether you can reach it. People have different beliefs that result in having a different mindset. There are people who have a fixed mindset which firmly believes that their talent and intelligence are inborn and unchangeable. There are also people who have a growth mindset that believes their abilities could grow and widen through experience and hard work.

So, what’s your mindset?

[00:01:09] So I went to go get this pedicure. The pedicure guy asked me how I broke it. I told him “I go to the gym right over, it’s like a building away and I just happened to miss the box jump and that’s how I broke it. He goes, “Oh, I heard that that gym is so expensive. I was like, “It’s not cheap. It’s $45 a week.” But then he sits there and does the math and tells me “I could pay off a car in six years instead of going to the gym.” In my mind, I’m like, “Why? Where did that even make sense?”

[00:02:41] Then I got to thinking about, “What’s this guy’s mindset?” His mindset is, well, I can do this for six years, or it could be in the best shape of my life and feel the best I’ve ever felt.

[00:04:48] When you’re going into business and you’re thinking about what is going on in your business and what you’re actually spending a dollar on versus getting a ton of value, I want you to compare those two.

[00:13:26] So when you go to any type of comparison in business, in anything, make sure you’re thinking apples to apples or x equals x. You got to make sure you focus on what is actually value versus costs.

[00:14:11] Imagine if you were to compare apples and apples or x and x to each one of the products. Whatever you’re buying, does that value you? Do you value yourself at that? Yes. It may be a little bit more, but are you valuing yourself?

That’s the message I want to leave with you here. Talking about one value in yourself, but value versus the dollar and then also your mindset.
